Reading this account and seeing the pictures that accompany it only motivate me out of outrage to make sure my son knows that you do NOT treat women -or anyone, really- in this way.
So much about parenting is a cliché. It really is. Everything you hear about hearts being so full they could burst, and really truly knowing what love is, and being willing to sacrifice heaven & earth for your child…all so commonplace, all so cliché.
But you know what? It’s true. It is all so really, truly, honestly, irrevocably TRUE.
These are my new blissful moments, the ones I want to capture through pictures & words & film so I don’t forget a single thing.
I feel like if I don’t have a record of everything, then they will just become fleeting moments, wisps of wind, ticks on a clock.
So if the memories become fleeting…well, then they are, I suppose. But right now, they’re more precious than gold.
